1952 Tropical Green NOS Tanks , fenders painted to match. We polished the tanks to remove any dirt and debris from sitting on a shelf for 58 years. Used a coarse compound to take the wet look of the repainted fenders.
1952 Tropical Green Assembled Hydraglide. Steve Barber, Ownder of the '74 shop in New York got this bike from his father, Joe. It was an original bike with the excetopn of a re-paint done in the 70s in what was a close-enough green. Steve found an N.O.S. pair of Tropical Green tanks and decided to re-do fenders to match. Here we see Steve's work wich included new pistons and valve job with a re-installed sheet-metal.
It is interesting to note this is a freshened up machine, not a restored machine. Todays Market is demanding shops to retain original finishes. This bike is an example of the current efforts to retain historical signifigance and value.
